“Nourishing yourself in a way that helps you blossom in the direction you want to go is attainable, and you are worth the effort.”

Be Kind to Yourself…

Have you ever felt like things have changed in your relationship and you are not sure what happened? Like the communication and trust that once flowed effortlessly now seem as though you’re speaking different languages? It’s common for daily pressures to strain what was once a strong relationship leaving couples yearning for affection, understanding, and a sense of being truly seen. Or do you find that the most challenging relationship in your life is the one you have with yourself—feeling out of control, being easily upset by small things, or struggling to manage your emotions—it’s important to address these concerns.

If you're feeling disheartened or uncertain about whether things can improve, I am here to tell you there is hope. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in nurturing and strengthening relationships—whether between partners, within families, or with oneself. I am confident that I can offer meaningful support and guidance in these areas.

Living in fear is no way to live especially when help is available. Together we can tailored an approach to address the specific obstacles you face. With consistency and commitment, we can work towards meaningful progress. I would be honored to accompany you on this journey toward healing and growth until you are ready to do it on your own.

Our Services

Individual Therapy

$100

Individual therapy is designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the ways in which your past experiences have influenced your present identity. Therapy provides insight into aspects of yourself that you may not fully comprehend, fostering greater self-awareness. This awareness is crucial for initiating positive change and enhancing your well-being. The most important relationship you will ever have is the one you cultivate with yourself—ensure it is a healthy and fulfilling one.

Couples’ Therapy

$120

In relationships, communication and trust are foundational elements for success. However, the demands of everyday life can sometimes cause partners to drift apart. When past trauma is introduced, couples may experience feelings of isolation. Couples therapy offers a supportive space to uncover what may have been lost along the way and provides the tools to rebuild and strengthen the relationship, often fostering a deeper connection than before.

Family Therapy

$120

When significant changes occur within a family, adjusting to those changes can often be challenging. What once worked well may no longer be effective, creating a sense of disruption or disconnect. Family therapy emphasizes the importance of understanding how each member’s behavior and emotions influence the entire family dynamic. In family therapy, members work collaboratively to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and ensure that everyone feels heard, understood, and valued. The goal is to restore harmony within the family and help each member contribute to a more supportive and connected environment.

Meet your therapist

My name is Brenda Castillo and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I provide counseling services in both English and Spanish. My client population includes children, adolescents, and adults. I work with individuals as well as families and couples.

I take an eclectic approach when working with clients. While I heavily rely on Bowenian Family Therapy and Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT), I also change my approach depending on the needs of each client. I have worked with people struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, abuse, trauma, grief, and domestic violence.

I believe that we were created to be in relationships, and we thrive in those. This is why I take a holistic approach and when able, include other people in the therapy room that are important to the client to make lasting change. I look forward to meeting you and working with you and your family.
